Renfrewshire Alcohol & Drug Partnership (ADP) is a strategic partnership consisting of Renfrewshire HSCP, Renfrewshire Council, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Services, Scottish Prison Service and the voluntary sector which has responsibility for addressing alcohol and drug issues in local communities.

HaRRT (Harm Reduction Response Team)
he Harm Reduction Response Team engage with people affected by alcohol and drugs on an outreach basis, who are not accessing care and treatment services. HaRRT operate from a mobile unit and can provide a variety of harm reduction services.

FIRST Crisis
FIRST Crisis is an out of hours crisis service which provides short term support to anyone in Renfrewshire aged 16 or over who is experiencing a crisis in their mental health and/or alcohol and drug use.

Street Connect
Supports people who are struggling with addiction. The service runs a drop-in café in Paisley, offers one-to-one support and access to weekly recovery groups. The service also provides advocacy and supported referrals for housing, criminal justice, benefits and residential rehab.

Barnardo's Family Support Recovery Service
Understands and recognises the importance of support being available for family members who are affected by someone else's drug or alcohol use. The service offers one-to-one support and a variety of group sessions.

Kicking' On
A mental health and addictions peer support group. They aim to bring people together in a safe environment and combine exercise and talking groups to allow people the opportunity to share their experience and make connections.

RADAR
Work with young people aged 12-20 who have issues with substance use. Their aim is to support and help young people to make safer choices by sharing information about the risks of substance use. Referrals are welcome by phone or in person from the individual, family, school, GP, or any other agency.

Naloxone
Naloxone is a first aid medication that can help in a potentially fatal opiate overdose. If you or someone you know uses opiates, including heroin and methadone, make sure you have a naloxone kit available.

What to do in the event of an overdose?
If someone becomes unwell or unresponsive and you suspect an overdose:
• Always call 999
• If safe to do so, don't leave the person until an ambulance arrives
• If you have Naloxone, use it if you think they have used opiates e.g. methadone, heroin.
