Adult Services Referral Team (ASeRT)  

Referrals for some of our adults and older adult services are being accepted on a critical basis only. Please contact: 0300 300 1380 for more information. 


Adult Social Work Services 

Social work offices are closed but social workers can make visits or give advice and assistance over the phone.

You can call Social Work during normal weekday hours on 0300 300 1199

Adult Support & Protection

Referrals for Adult Support and Protection continue to be taken as normal.

If you or someone you know is being harmed or is at risk of being harmed, it is important to tell us about it. Please use the contact numbers below to report your concerns.

Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service

Renfrewshire Drug Service 

The Renfrewshire Drug Service based at Back Sneddon Centre is temporarily closed to face to face visitors. Prescriptions will be available from local pharmacies and key workers will continue to support those who use this service.

If you require access to injecting equipment please contact your local Injecting Equipment Provision (IEP) Pharmacy. If your local IEP pharmacy is unable to provide this then please contact your key worker about accessing the IEP service at Back Sneddon Street.

Torley Unit 

The Torley Unit based at Dykebar is temporarily closed to face to face visitors. For further information, please contact: 0300 300 1199 - option 2.


Care at Home Services

Our Care at Home service is continuing to deliver critical care, and we are prioritising those most in need of our support. Our staff are being advised on the latest guidance to protect themselves and vulnerable people from contamination and infection.

We will continue to provide regular updates to the people who receive Care at Home and the staff who deliver the service.

If families or those who use this service have any questions or concerns, or if they are self-isolating, please ring the local office and ask to speak to the manager.


Care Homes and Extra Care Housing

In response to national guidance, our three care homes [Montrose, Hunterhill and Renfrew] and the four extra care housing units [Banktop, Arnott Gardens, Robertson House and Clayson House] are currently closed to all visitors with the exception of essiental visits. 

We are working closely with the families and friends of our residents to maintain as much remote contact as possible. This includes regular telephone and Skype calls.

Children's Health Services

All Children and Family Health Services (Health Visiting and School Nursing) are being co-ordinated at Renfrew Health & Social Work Centre you can contact them 0141 207 7455 (8.30am to 4.40pm)

Looked After Children's Health Service  

LAC Health have returned to Aranthrue Centre and are continuing to accept referrals.

Initial and Review Health Assessments are taking place via Attend Anywhere / Near Me.

Immunisation Clinics - Foxbar Clinic and Linwood Health Centre

Pre-five Immunisation Clinics have been relocated to Ferguslie Clinic. Families affected will be contacted directly with alternative details.

We want to emphasise the importance that families continue to attend child immunisations where possible.

Breastfeeding Support Groups

All breastfeeding groups have been cancelled until further notice. For alternative support, please contact your Health Visitor, Family Nurse or National Breastfeeding Helpline on 0300 100 0212.

Homestart

Home visiting and group support have currently been suspended - emergency items (nappies, baby milk etc) will continue to be delivered to current families where possible.

Remote support to families will be arranged and Homestart will contact families they are working with directly.

Specialist Children's Services 

Renfrewshire Specialist Children's Services(SCS) Hub.

All enquiries regarding Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy should be directed to the Hub.

PANDA (Disability/Child Development) are accepting referrals via their usual referral routes. The service are using Attend Anywhere appointments and some face to face appointments depending on clinical need. 0141 314 4603

Child and Adolescent Mental Health ( CAMHS) are accepting referrals via their usual referral routes. CAMHS are currently undertaking Attend Anywhere video appointments. 

Speech & Language Therapy (SLT)

SLT are accepting referrals as usual, a digital service is being delivered for children and families. Face to face services will be provided in some urgent cases. 

Therapy Advice and Support Helpline 

For parents/carers who have queries or concerns for their child's communication or movement. From 3 August -

Starting Solid Events

All starting solid events have been suspended until further notice - support is available via the Parent Club Website


Day Centres - Older Adults

All day services within Renfrewshire are temporarily closed.

This will be reviewed regularly, and we will update all families as things change.


District Nursing Services

District nursing services will be accessible during the current restrictions. All calls will be prioritised based on the clinical need of each patient.

Learning Disability Services

Day Centres

All day services for learning disabilities within Renfrewshire are temporarily closed.

This will be reviewed regularly, and we will update all families with more details as things change.

This includes:

  • Day Opportunities - Mirrin and Milldale
  • Autism Connections
  • Flexicare

Renfrewshire Learning Disability Service (RLDS)

All routine and non-essential appointments have been suspended at this time.  The service will continue to provide some essential care and will contact individuals/families to discuss all planned and essential appointments beforehand.

All RLDS referrals and urgent appointments will be directed through a duty system and can be reached by telephone on 0141 207 7800 or ASeRT  - 0300 300 1380 

Weavers Linn Respite Unit 

Weavers Linn Respite Unit is providing limited respite services to those who have been assessed as requiring critical support. We are contacting families and carers to discuss individual circumstances, but for any enquiries please contact 0141 618 4725


Mental Health Services 

Community Mental Health Service

Services continue to provide some essential care. Doing Well Service will rearrange all current appointments.

  • Intensive Home Treatment will continue to provide a service for all emergency assessments and home treatments where appropriate. This service can be reached by telephone: 0141 618 3333.
  • Clozapine monitoring and administration will continue at the Charleston Centre.
  • Depot medication administration will continue at clinics at the Charleston Centre or at home.
  • All CMHT referrals and urgent appointments will be directed through one duty system based at the Charleston Centre. This service can be reached by telephone: 0141 618 5507, 0141 618 5508 or 0141 618 5563

The Older People's Community Mental Health Team

Memory assessments and post diagnostic support will rearrange all current appointments. - The team can be reached by telephone: 0141 618 5507, 0141 618 5508 or 0141 618 5563


Physical Disability Service

All day services within Renfrewshire are temporarily closed.


Podiatry Services

Essential work

NHSGG&C podiatry service has taken the decision to suspend all clinics with the exception of:

  • New foot ulcer
  • Review foot ulcer
  • Dressings
  • Infected toe nail surgical cases

Rehabilitation & Enablement Service (RES)

All referrals for rehabilitation will be triaged and prioritised. A member of the team will arrange an assessment for accepted referrals within service standards. The service is currently working towards a return to normal working practices and management of urgent, priority and routine waiting lists.

Renfrewshire Carers Centre

Renfrewshire Carers Centre staff are still available to support carers during their normal opening hours. They are still able to take new referrals for carers, support carers via the telephone or email and also refer on to our external partners.

Some services are being delivered remotely via video or telephone.

Sandyford Sexual Health Services 

From Monday 4 May, Sandyford Paisley will temporarily close for face-to-face visits. From Tuesday 5 May, patients can continue to attend Sandyford's main site in Sauchiehall street or telephone the service on 0141 211 8130 for advice and guidance.

All group sessions have currently been suspended - more information and support is available on their Facebook page


Communities, Charities and Volunteering 

Renfrewshire Council have set up a dedicated webpage to ensure communities are able to share important information with each other, and to receive information which allows them to continue to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone.
