Carers Week runs from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 June 2021. It is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
This year the campaign aims to Make Caring Visible and Valued. You might have seen social media posts on our channels in support of the campaign. Renfrewshire Council have also created a useful Carers' Week 2021 web page that outlines some of the activities happening locally throughout the week.
Cllr Jacqueline Cameron, chair of the Renfrewshire IJB has recorded a short video for Carers' Week to thank everyone involved for their ongoing work to care for those most in need.
