Staff Health

The revised Staff Health Strategy for Renfrewshire HSCP staff aims to centre on recovery from the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is geared towards providing supportive measures to enhance staff wellbeing amid emerging challenges.

We have a solid groundwork to expand upon, as demonstrated by the successful implementation and integration of various initiatives, such as the Active Staff Programme, provision of Mental Health Support, and the continuous implementation of Peer Support. Both our staff equalities forums and the Staff Health Working Groups will play a crucial role in executing the initiatives that align with our strategic objectives.

This updated Strategy not only builds on our prior plan and ambitions but also incorporates the feedback garnered from our staff through the 2022 Staff Health Survey.

Four strategic priorities were identified from the 2022 Staff Health Survey with the aim of delivering ongoing support to staff physical and mental health:

Priority 1 Strengthening support for mental health and wellbeing including stress

Priority 2 Promote NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a fair and healthy workplace in line with Fair Work Nation principles.

Priority 3 Address in-work poverty and promote holistic wellbeing to mitigate inequalities in health.

Priority 4 Support for managing attendance
