The engagement event for the new health and social care facility in Dargavel is a way for local people to influence the look and feel of the new centre. We are developing an Arts and Environment Strategy which will involve thinking about art works, design ideas, the external space and ongoing creative engagement to promote wellbeing.
The event itself will consist of two sessions, one in the early afternoon and the same one later in the afternoon to hopefully allow people who work during the day to attend if they wish. We'll be asking local people, artists and community groups what they would like to see in the new centre, and we'll be giving information on how we will commission work. We are particularly keen to meet local artists so that they can be involved in the commissioning process if they wish.
No booking is required, however there will be some presentations, so it is advised to come along for the start of the session so that you hear some our plans before being able to chat to people involved in the project.
